Concept
The theme of this project is to critique how businessmen and capitalists harm the environment. In front of the media, they promote their sustainability efforts, but in reality, they only care about profit. I used gears to create a turning mechanism that reveals these two contrasting sides.

Designing the content, aesthetic, mechanisms, and struture of this installation.

Size Calculation
Tool: Figma, Gear generator
Designing the detail of how the gears should work and base on the size of gears, calculation the size of each component.

Laser cutting
Tool: Adobe Illustrator, Laser cutter
Illustrate the parts in Adobe Illustrator then laser cut it out on Acrylic Plastic.

Structure & Gear Building

Illustrate the parts in Adobe Illustrator then laser cut it out on Acrylic Plastic.
Drawing

Drawing each part in procreate then turn it to vector art with Adobe Illustrator

Laser cutting
Tool: Adobe Illustrator, Laser cutter
Engraving and then cutting the drawing parts with laser cutter onto cardboards. (multi layers is required to make it thicker and standable. )

Joining everything
Tool: Adobe Illustrator, Laser cutter
Joining all the parts together and finalize it to create this final installation. Making sure the gears are working.
